Who is eligible to donate?
The Committee For the Election of Jameson ‘Jamo’ Goldstein (C.F.E.J.G.) participates in Matching Public Funds from the City of Boulder. This means that only individual persons are able to make donations.
Are donations tax deductible?
No, campaign donations are not tax deductible as outlined by the IRS.
Can I donate anonymously?
No, the City of Boulder requires that individuals making donations provide their full name and address.
Can businesses donate?
No, the City of Boulder specifies that committees participating in fund matching are only allowed to receive donations from natural, individual persons.
What will happen to my donation?
Donations directly support the day-to-day efforts of the campaign, including voter outreach, community events, campaign materials, advertising, volunteer resources, and other essential operating expenses. Donations are not used for personal expenses, materials unrelated to the campaign, or for external financing. After the campaign is over, excess funds will be returned to the contributors (at the discretion of the contributor) or donated to a charitable organization.
